Privacy notice

This explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to protect us.
The short version. We collect your email address. If you buy founding access, Stripe collects your payment details — we never see your card. We treat the fact that you are on this list as private and sensitive. We do not sell, share, or trade it. Email jay@afterjab.co.uk and we will delete you the same day.

AfterJab is operated by Intelligensys Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16343647). Intelligensys Limited is the data controller for the information described here.

What we do not collect
We do not ask for your weight, your medication, your dose, your medical history, or any health information. AfterJab is not a medical service and we hold no medical records.
Why this list is treated as sensitive
Being on our list can suggest something about your health — that you take, or have taken, weight-loss medication. We have not asked you to tell us that, and we do not record it. But we recognise the inference exists, so we handle the list more carefully than an ordinary mailing list:
- It is never sold, rented, shared, or traded. Not to anyone, at any price.
- It is never enriched, appended, or matched against other data sets.
- It is never uploaded to advertising platforms as a custom or lookalike audience.
- Access is limited to the people who need it to run AfterJab.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Consent — for sending you the checklist and emails about AfterJab. You gave it by joining the list, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Contract — if you buy founding access, we need your details to deliver it and to handle refunds.
- Legitimate interests — for basic, anonymous measurement of whether our advertising works, and for keeping the site secure.
Cookies and measurement
We use cookieless analytics. Vercel Analytics counts visits and page views for us. It sets no cookies, it does not identify anybody, and it does not follow you from one site to another.
When you arrive from an advert, the link carries a short tag saying which advert it was. We record that tag on our own server so we can tell which adverts are worth running. It is not attached to you or to your email address.
We do not use Meta or Google advertising tags. Nothing about you is sent to an advertising platform.
Who else touches your data
- Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics) — serves the site and receives page-view counts with no cookie and no identifier.
- Upstash (storage) — holds the waitlist and purchase records described above. Our database is located in London.
- Resend (email delivery) — receives your email address and the emails we send you, so they can deliver them.
- Google Workspace — our email.
- Stripe — takes payment. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them.
- Cloudflare — manages the domain.
Some of these are US companies. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist emails — until you ask us to delete them, or until we decide not to build AfterJab. If we decide not to proceed, we will tell you and then delete the list.
- Purchase records — six years, because UK tax law requires us to keep them.
- Emails you send us — until they are no longer needed to help you.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it
- Stop emailing you
- Send you a copy of it
- Stop using it in a particular way
Email jay@afterjab.co.uk. There is no form. We aim to do it the same day and we are required to respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first, but it is your right either way.
Children
AfterJab is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will email everyone on the list rather than quietly updating this page.
AfterJab is not a medical service. We do not diagnose, treat, or give advice about medicine, doses, or stopping treatment. Anything to do with your medicine is for the doctor or pharmacist who knows your history.
